Role Purpose
To lead a team of project cost controllers, supervise various cost control functions and ensure accurate and timely reporting of project cost status to Project Controls Manager/Project Manager for appropriate decision making in favor of the Project. The main job challenge is the effective management of a diverse team to deliver with quality the designated requirements within the broader project team.

Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years progressive experience in project cost control/management.
- Degree in Engineering, Accounting or Business Management or its equivalent.
Competencies
Technical:
- Familiarity with FPSO projects including some technical knowledge.
- Understanding basic level of project management process.
- PC Skills with proficiency in MS Office.
- Due to different project locations, Job holder needs to keep up with different languages to ensure clear understanding and time differences.

Key Accountabilities
Delivery Management
- Directs and manages a team of cost controllers to ensure effective and timely cost control for assigned projects.
Project Cost Control Initiation
- Establishes cost control systems and procedures for the project.
Cost Risk Management
- Identifies and mitigates risks affecting forecasted costs at project completion.
- Reviews Budget vs. Forecast at different project stages and takes appropriate action to mitigate overruns.
Cost Reporting
- Reviews project cost reports to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Provides updated project progress and execution budget details to finance during audits.
Invoice Management
- Reviews purchase orders and subcontract agreements for budget and schedule alignment.
- Reviews and approves vendor/subcontractor invoices.
- Participates in change order negotiations and out-of-contract claims.
Cost Variation Management
- Oversees cost changes and variation control throughout the project.
Project Proposal Advisory
- Provides feedback to the bidding team based on actual project execution to improve future proposals.
Development of Cost Controllers
- Trains senior cost controllers in various cost control activities to enhance team capability.
