We have an opportunity for an Advanced Application Engineer to join our team in Brno, Czechia. This role actively participates in development, test, and integration of our internal software applications developed by our R&D team. The Advanced Application Engineer will be responsible for conveyor's control projects preparation and commissioning on the customer sites or remotely. The most of our current projects are in the USA, where is located us headquarter as well. You will be mentoring junior colleagues and deploying conveyor control system (ICW, MC4) and Warehouse Controls System (MCBL). Our team is mainly supporting Modification and Upgrades types of the projects, where we adjust the code running on sites.
This is a hybrid role, 3 + 2 days model.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor junior software engineers in projects preparation, troubleshooting, testing of project specifics functionalities. Adjusting technical specifications and preparing test and acceptance plans.
- Understand the risks and bottlenecks of the project based on the mechanical, electrical drawings and PLC extracts.
- Incorporate customer feedback to produce technical solutions, deploy code based on specifications, and support onsite commissioning.
- Provide software engineering expertise for conveyor system projects, including controls equipment and components.
- Ensure timely execution and quality of software design and implementation, adhering to technical specifications and guidelines.
- Facilitate communication with customers and other engineering teams (PLC, Electrical, Mechanical) and engage in Agile development activities.

Key skills and qualifications
- 3+ years of continuous software development experience.
- Proficiency in C# or C++and strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Expertise in application architecture and design patterns.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Master's Degree in computer science or equivalent experience, with a very good command of English.
