Be a part of a team of Quality Engineers at the (insert site) that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve quality output and continuous improvements. You will drive process initiatives that ensures compliance with customer requirements, regulatory agencies, government regulations and engineering specifications while instilling site accountability for governance of the Quality System, product acceptance and, product quality.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Quality:
  • They lead complex Six Sigma projects aimed at improving processes within the NPD framework, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency.
  • Black Belt can run DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) projects specifically tailored to enhance product quality.

Statistical Analysis and Validation:
  • Utilizing their expertise, the Black Belt conducts in-depth statistical analyses to validate processes and product designs.
  • They provide advanced modeling techniques to predict product performance and identify potential failure points before they occur.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborating with the Lead Quality Engineer, ensures that quality initiatives are supported by statistical data, leading to informed decision-making throughout the development process.
  • They bridge the gap between technical teams and management by presenting complex quality concepts in an understandable manner.

Problem-Solving Techniques:
  • They employ advanced problem-solving methodologies like root cause analysis with sophisticated tools (e.g., control charts, process mapping) to identify and solve quality issues during NPD.
  • Their proficiency in problem-solving strategies allows for quicker resolution of quality concerns, saving time and resources.

Continuous Improvement Framework:
  • Instrumental in establishing a robust continuous improvement framework that is data-driven and sustainable.
  • Implementing Lean principles alongside Six Sigma, they enhance the process efficiency and reduce waste in the product development cycle.

Performance Metrics and Reports:
  • Develop performance metrics related to quality outcomes and improvements, enabling better tracking and reporting of NPD results.
  • Metrics to align with organizational goals and industry standards.

YOU MUST HAVE:

Certification:
  • A Black Belt certification (Honeywell), typically from recognized organizations such as the American Society for Quality (ASQ) or the International Association for Six Sigma Certification (IASSC), is essential.

Experience:
  • Extensive experience in leading Six Sigma projects, preferably in a product development context, is often required.

Advanced Analytical Skills:
  • Mastery of statistical analysis, experimental design, and process optimization techniques.

Leadership and Influence:
  • Ability to influence organizational quality culture through leadership and effective communication.

Project Management Skills:
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on quality goals and deadlines.
