Senior Finance Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to Leads financial processes and transactions to optimize financial performance within the factory/site. Supports effective business decisions by monitoring, analysis, and interpreting financial data to evaluate various business alternatives and recommend the most appropriate business solutions. Be responsible for legal entity Finance management and assurance/fiduciary. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification business area in China. You will be mainly accountable for: CORE RESPONSIBILITIES • Contributes to the definition of the finance strategy for their respective factory/manufacturing site. • Serves as the key partner to factory managers in determining strategy for their area of responsibility and developing a global business model, aligning with wider strategy, implementing them, and adjusting, as needed. • Translates the finance strategy into business plans and establishes measurable targets. • Oversees the business planning and forecasting process for their area of responsibility. • Evaluates financial implications of business decisions, builds scenarios, and recommends actions to mitigate risks. • Monitors progress achieved and provides insight and analysis to support operational decision-making. • Identifies financial issues and advises the factory/site management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve. • Drives appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization, and capital efficiency, with special focus on product/business line profitability, product costing, production variances, over/under-absorption analysis/inventory analysis, etc. • Establishes and oversees processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. • Ensures the quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules. • Ensures timely and efficient communication with relevant internal and external customers to identify improvement areas, work quality and efficiency for their area of responsibility. • Ensures transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. • Defines and implements internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations. • Ensures risk management processes are consistently implemented in their area of responsibility. • In addition to Operation finance Manager, also take IIB company controller role, including legal entity Finance management (Accounting and Reporting, Finance Admin, Balance Sheet Review, Tax/Treasury/Subsidy) and Assurance (Internal Control & Integrity, Enterprise Risk Mgt (ERM). Internal/External Audit related) LICENSE TO OPERATE / CORE VALUES • Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area. • Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB's core values and ethics in all activities across all teams in scope. • Accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors for the teams in scope.
