Job Summary:

As a Painter, you will be responsible for the manufacturing of products in the FCV-Life cycle service Business Unit, ensuring they conform to specifications, procedures, and certification requirements in painting. This includes tasks such as degreasing, masking, blasting, and applying paint finishes. This role requires a strong understanding of painting techniques and processes, as well as a dedication to safety and quality.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Paint Application:
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by degreasing, masking, and blasting.
  • Apply various paint finishes (e.g., primers, topcoats, specialty coatings) using appropriate techniques (e.g., spraying, brushing, rolling).
  • Ensure accurate and consistent color matching and application.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the painting process.


Safety & Compliance:

  • Align with all relevant safety regulations and company safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Use and maintain painting equipment and tools safely and optimally.
  • Participate in safety training and toolbox talks.


Quality Control:
  • Perform paint tests and record values as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Address any quality issues promptly.


Maintenance & Support:
  • Perform basic maintenance on painting equipment.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
  • Support other team members as needed.


Inventory & Logistics:
  • Maintain accurate records of paint usage and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate the timely supply of paint and other necessary materials.

For this Role, You Will Need
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial painting.
  • Strong understanding of painting techniques and processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical drawings.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Experience with specific painting techniques.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and certifications.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
