Are you ready to take on the role of Materials Handler III for a major oil and gas company? As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing inventory and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials. This is a full-time contract position, with the potential for extension, and is based in Odessa, Texas.
Role Overview
- Manage Inventory: Oversee the day-to-day management of the company's inventory.
- Collaborate with Team: Work with a team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals to ensure efficient and cost-effective inventory management.
- Interact with Clients: Effectively communicate with both internal and external clients.
- Support Asset Movement: Assist with the movement of materials and disposals within the assigned region.
- Utilize Advanced Skills: Utilize strong analytical abilities and advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP for data entry.
- Travel Required: Must be willing to travel daily for work.
- Load and Unload Materials: Physically load, unload, and move materials within or near the work site.
- Inspect Materials: Inspect materials for quality and defects.
- Identify Materials: Able to identify materials by part number or written description.
- Move Materials Manually: Physically move materials onto or from pallets and shelves.
- Convey Materials: Transport materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
- Record Material Movements: Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled on a daily production sheet.
- Maintain Clean Work Area: Keep work area, machines, and equipment clean.
- Assemble Crates: Assemble crates to contain products when required.
- Label Materials: Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
- Follow Safety Regulations: Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Abilities: Must possess strong analytical skills for inventory management.
- Inventory Management Experience: Previous experience in inventory management is required.
- MS Excel Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of MS Excel is necessary for data entry and analysis.
- SAP Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP is required for inventory management.
- Optional Skills: Knowledge of MS Excel and SAP is preferred but not required.
Education & Experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management or related field is preferred.

- Work Location: The work location is at 3543 FM-1936, Odessa TX. The client will provide a truck and tools for work.
