Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently recruiting for a Technical Safety Designer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our team in Atyrau, Almaty, Astana, Kazakhstan (for KZ passport holders).

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Basic or elementary exposure to design
- As instructed by Discipline Engineer collect all design information by submitting requests
- Support Discipline Engineer in locating future tie-in points and similar line replacement tie-in points to marked-up P&ID
- Support Discipline Engineer in manually capture all required data into sketch
- Engineering Deliverables such as Escape Evacuation Plans, Safety Signs and Safety Equipment, Firewater Network Drawings, Active and Passive Fire Protection Zone Drawings, Hazardous Area Classification Zone Layouts, and line Lists etc as per the Engineers instructions
- Develop drawings in AutoCAD software from available data and sketches
- Knowledge of piping class designations and Instrumentation symbols
- Send drawings to responsible Discipline Engineer / Lead or Principal Discipline Designer for review upon completion
- Plant visit with responsible Discipline Engineer if required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Engineering degree in related field
- Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates
- Work experience in the respective position no less than 10 years
- Experience in developing design documentation in accordance with RoK regulatory documents
- Experience on projects within EPC contract (Engineering, Supply and Construction)
