What you will do:

The Refurb Technician position requires the highest level of professionalism, problem solving and communication skills for this critical, customer-facing role. The RT works independently, providing the highest quality and standard of technical performance on machines returned to our refurbishment locations. They are to oversee the process and procedures of the other refurb technicians present reporting on performance, and changes that are required to create increased efficiencies and effectiveness. The RT aspires to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction and maximizes customer retention.

The successful, results-oriented RT will be able to clean, maintain, troubleshoot and install Easy Ice machines, aiming to increase equipment life and reliability, reduce service calls and emergency ice purchases, all while increasing customer happiness and loyalty. Additional, aid in the creation of troubleshooting processes and procedures to assist in the development of the overall performance of the Technical Application of the organization. The RT will demand the best of themselves and their colleagues to deliver outstanding results.

How you will do it:

• Manage the function and flow of the refurb line
• Ensuring that Refurbishment numbers are met
• Responsible for the communication of performance/Issues with Operations Team
• Communicator on "common" issues found of series of units
• Diagnose service problem down to the component
• Capable of replacing compressors, expansion valves and any other refrigeration component
• Mentor and train junior installers and technicians
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
• Complete timely and detailed service reports on jobs performed at each site (digital photos, descriptions of issues, etc., to correct problems in the future) using the field automation system
• Purchase parts, supplies, materials in the field as required
• Operate and maintain company vehicle according to established policies and procedures
• Project a positive Easy Ice brand image
• Work as a team to grow as a team

Additional Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the sales team to ensure seamless support for daily operations.
• Stay adaptable and open to multi-tasking across different projects and assignments.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with assigned sales representatives.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in Salesforce, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools.

What we look for:

• Fifteen years proven field service experience
• Demonstrated track record of delivering highest level of customer satisfaction
• Working knowledge of mobile tools and applications
• Refrigeration / EPA Universal License

Work Environment:

• The employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use ladders; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel surfaces, parts and tools; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Stands for extended periods of time (6+ hours per day)
• While the noise level in the work environment is usually somewhat quiet, the worker may be subject to elevated noise levels
• Drive a vehicle for up to 60 percent of the hours worked
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
