The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Civil supervisor 3 to join our Iraq Business Unit.

The position will be based in Basra (Iraq) on rotational basis (4 On/4 Off).

This Project aims to take over the existing asset and maximize the production in 2 phases. This is a fast-track project and schedule-oriented Design to enhance the production.

The Phase 1 will restore, upgrade, and develop the current plant (CPF1) including: Restoration of initial CPF1 capacity; building a new export pipeline (24", ~30km); restoration of CPF1 integrity and operability; flaring elimination and released water; development of new flowlines, pads, and electrification network for approximately 30 new wells; debottlenecking of the plant; upgrade of the Safety and Security facilities.

Our scope is to provide Engineering, Procurement services and Construction assistance (EPsCa) for the initial development phase of the field in Southern Iraq. The scope of services includes FEED, detailed design, procurement support, and construction and commissioning assistance.

Key Objectives

The Civil & Structure Construction Supervisor is responsible of all Civil & Structure Construction works related to all different Project Construction Packages and modifications works in respect of the following:

1) safety

2) cost efficient

3) high quality according to specifications

4) in time

5) in line with legal aspects and

6) with minimum disturbance Ratawi CPF1 operations.

Will guarantee transparency in relations with subcontractors.

HSE activities:

• Support and enforce project guidelines and HSE objectives.

• Attend HSE meetings and training when necessary.

• Participate in Job Safety Analysis, make suggestions, stop dangerous situations, and report anomalies and dangerous acts.

Activities, for his area of expertise:

• Supervise and control the selected Contractor's to carry out the Civil & Structural works in their premises in prefabrication and under construction on the Sites.
• Ensure the proper execution of the works in compliance with safety and environmental protection procedures, technical specifications, budgets, and schedules,
• Optimize and follow the work schedules, to do this check the good organization of the logistics and the Contractor's site,
• Ensure good coordination / interface between the Site (the Contractor and the Operator) and the Construction Manager and the various entities involved in the project (the INSPECTION, TOPOGRAPHY, LOGISTICS departments, the COMMISSIONNING team, the organizations officials for the events, etc.),
• Check the procedures and task sheets of the Companies, participate, or control the risk analyses, help in the preparation / check the work permits,
• Check the technical information provided by the Contractor and its consistency,
• Monitor supplies for the smooth running of the site. (Verification of equipment or consumables).
• Mainly ensure the general supervision of Structural, earthworks and civil engineering, building construction,
• Anticipate all potential problems, propose, if necessary, alternative "practical" solutions,
• Provide occasional general supervision of the works:
  • All Structural Construction works (primary, secondary, and tertiary) structural works,
• Civil engineering: Marking and realization of track, realization of various protections,
• Construction control (structural work, finishing work, concrete test control, etc.).
• Ensure the receipt, control, and transmission of all Contractors' documents,
• Establish the daily report (progress of work, number of people, highlights, etc.),
• Participate in weekly meetings, (preparation or control of meeting minutes),
• Validate the acceptance of the works with the Construction Manager and the Contractors.

Expected:

• Very good knowledge of Oil & Gas International Codes and Standards, rules & procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in the oil industry, with significant experience in Construction.
• Previous experience under SIMOPS works will be considered as a plus.
• Team player with ability to work collaboratively across complex project teams and interface between interdisciplinary departments and within an international team.
• Fluent in English, Arabic.
