Wood is recruiting for a Reporting Lead (Finance) to join its Operations Americas business focusing on Finance Operations Americas BU. This opportunity reports to a Wood office based in the US, preferably in Houston, TX.

The Role

Wood is recruiting for a Reporting Lead (Finance) to join its Operations Americas business, to lead the preparation of monthly management reports and budgeting and forecasting activities, connecting with leaders across various functions and serving as a regional interface with Group Centers of Excellence, driving growth and cost optimization, monitoring adherence to robust systems and internal controls, and leading the region's reporting team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure accurate, timely and robust financial reporting around financial calendar, including ad hoc Year End, Investor Roadshow requests etc
  • Work with Group shared services (including Accounting, Payroll, Tax & Treasury, Insurance, Legal, etc.), when required, to obtain and provide necessary support on behalf on BU Finance
  • Oversight role over financial plans, budgets and forecasts, delivered through the Reporting team and Service Line Finance Business Partners
  • Assist with reporting to ensure it is robust and insightful business reporting and analysis to enhance business understanding and operational decision-making
  • Collate and report on key business levers such as Working Capital, DCF preparation, DSO, Backlog, as required
  • Assist the Business Performance Manager in development and roll-up of Performance Reviews
  • Coordinate QBR and other ad hoc reporting; leading with the continuous improvement mindset to improve our underlying business performance drivers
  • Supports the Senior Business Performance Manager, and Finance Business Partners to drive and deliver the F&A strategy and to support business short and long-term goals
  • Primary contact for external and internal auditors

Expected:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant accounting/commercial experience
  • In-depth understanding of reporting requirements and regulations in accordance with IFRS & GAAP
  • Commercial experience
  • Good IT / Systems knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of business and accounting methodology

Desirable:
  • CPA preferred

  • Exercises mature, professional judgment in identifying the implications of business and financial reporting
