TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans and coordinates subcontracted work for quality control inspection, such as NDT, hot-work, machining, coating, and critical dimension checks.
- Conduct quality control inspections at suppliers' sites, repair workshop & warehouse.
- Maintain the integrity & accuracy of process equipment used for tests, inspections, & reports, e.g., approved calibrations, active calibration validity, acceptable tolerance, etc.
- Assist with QP, QCP, and ITP for equipment repair and service.
- Make sure the Company's Global AM Standardization document is applied for effective work performance, i.e., for inspection/assembly/test, Quality Plan, etc.
- Ensure that the latest version of the document is used for conformance & consistency.
- Conduct internal quality checks if global standards for the equipment/component are not available.
- Assist with the review and provision of quality control advice on engineering-approved welding, material specs, and manufacturing drawings to facilitate repair, remanufacturing, and fabrication projects.
- Report and record all nonconforming or quality issues for investigation or RCA on Intelex System, and initiate NCR/CAR/PI to Business Unit Leads for quality improvement.
- Comply with ALL NOV Company policies and procedures related to health, safety, welfare, and the environment.
- Ensure all process equipment (test, measuring & inspection) used during QC inspection are within valid calibration status including suppliers' personnel qualification i.e., NDT (ASNT-TC-1A Level II), welders' & special process qualification.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Participate and contribute to quality improvement that benefits customers and SBU annually.
FACILITY/GROUP-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the QC/Business Units Lead on equipment repair overhaul QP, QCP & ITP.
- Work with the QC/Business Units Lead on receiving parts/inventory inspection.
- Maintain continuous communication with QC/Business Units Lead to resolve product nonconformance (Intelex- NCR, investigation/RCA, CAR/PI, NC report & analysis).
- Report & record internal/external nonconformity & feedback, including supplier's nonconformance and, participate in investigation/RCA to ensure effective closure & implementation.
- Assists with internal & external quality audit.
- Review & advise on QC documentation- is correct, up to date, maintained and definitive to the appropriate Product Engineering & Global QA standard requirements.
- Work with the business unit lead, process owner, purchaser & QA, Global Standardization, 3rd party classification/auditor/surveyor, customer & supplier on WO/SO quality requirement- QP, ITP, QCP, material/standards/WPS/PQR review etc.
- Work collectively to achieve departmental KPI targets & objectives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent combination of education & min of 5 years working experience in the engineering field
- ASNT-TC-1A NDE Level II experience
- AWS or CSWIP Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) experience
- ISO 9001/API-Q1 QMS standard & audit experience
- Able to interpret international standards & specifications
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good knowledge of various NDT, welding, coating and machining i.e. qualified process, meeting required international standards etc.
- Good knowledge of drawing symbols interpretation.
- Good written and verbal presentation skills.
