Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation. The work model for the role is: #LI - onsite This role is contributing to the Process Automation - Energy Division in India. You will be mainly accountable for: • Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications. • Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities while ensuring achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS). • Managing the preparation of RFI (Request for Information), RFQ (Request for Quote), and all necessary technical, financial, and project management aspects of the bid/estimate/quotation process. • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. • Identifying potential risks in bids, quotations, estimates, and contract agreements, and participating in the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy. • Collaborating with Supply Chain Management to identify potential vendors for project materials and evaluating supplier offers for compliance with specifications.

Qualifications for the role
- You enjoy working with preparing bids/estimations in Process Automation, Process Safety, Substation Automation, PLCs, and across all market segments.
- You have 5 to 7 years of experience in preparing bids/estimations in Process Automation.
- You are highly adept at understanding customer specifications/requirements and applicable IEC or ISA standards.
- You are passionate about interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- You have a diploma or engineering degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Electronics & Communication.
- You are proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
