Regional Service Manager for Americas, Motion Services division

Your role and responsibilities

Energy Efficiency is the main pillar for a low carbon society. There are over 300 million electric motors in the industry with over 45% energy being consumed by electric motor driven systems globally. ABB, with its leadership in technology, domain expertise and application knowledge of electric motor driven systems, is at the forefront of reducing energy consumption of these systems and thus driving towards a low carbon society. In this role you will focus on driving market development supporting the local sales units (LSUs) in tailoring our energy efficiency solutions, deploying our division strategy, and creating new business opportunities. You will also work with Regional Service Managers and other divisions in ABB Motion business. The role is open globally, but location is set in ABB offices across LATAM region or Canada. You will mainly be responsible for: • Performing active market and business development in line with the division energy efficiency strategy. • Leading sustainable deployment of the country specific plans in the assigned region. • Creating and growing our sales pipeline of energy efficiency opportunities. • Delivering sales targets associated with energy efficiency projects. • Supporting LSUs to tailor our energy efficiency solution to meet the specific requirements in line with local regulatory aspects and preferences of local markets. • Fostering cross-functional and cross divisional collaboration to align and support execution of localization strategies. • Presenting energy efficiency topics at events and seminars. • Supporting the team for partnerships and M&A activities as required for energy efficiency solutions. • Building, developing and coordinating the network of Energy Efficiency leads in Motion Services region.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in market and business development with end customers across segments.
• Fluency in English and a local regional language, both written and spoken.
• Strong understanding of energy efficiency products, services, and market trends for electric motor driven systems and system operation optimization for energy reduction.
• Strong customer orientation with experience in identifying and responding to customer needs.
• Ability to influence key stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationship, especially in the local sales organizations.
• Growth Mindset with a demonstrated high Say-Do Ratio.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% across the region.
