The Software Engineering Chapter in Technology & Engineering represents all experts who deliver essential software development and engineering capabilities, to all our product teams. These experts are organized together in a center of competence, the Chapter, to keep E.ON's code base modern, secure, and excellent.
E.ON Energy Projects GmbH develops, finances, builds, operates, and optimizes decentralized, large-scale energy generation facilities for industrial clients. Since 2000, we have implemented projects with a combined electrical capacity of over 1 gigawatt across Europe. Your Role - meaningful & rewarding
As a Fullstack Engineer (f/m/d) in our product development team, you will have a vital role in developing and maintaining comprehensive end-to-end solutions. Drawing on your expertise in frontend, middleware, and backend engineering, you will contribute to creating robust applications that enhance user experiences and facilitate API integrations with various IT systems. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders and team members who specialize in different areas to ensure the smooth integration of software components.

This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders and team members who specialize in different areas to ensure the smooth integration of software components.
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications in close collaboration with product managers, stakeholders, and fellow engineers, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions
- Participate actively in agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Embrace DevOps practices to automate deployment processes, enhance system reliability, and improve overall development efficiency
- Willingness to read Scala code is a must
- Leverage cloud technologies, especially AWS to build scalable and resilient applications
Your Profile - authentic & open-minded
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in professional software engineering, with demonstrated hands-on experience in full-stack development within agile product development teams.
- Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency in React and TypeScript, along with a knowledge of Python and an interest in Go or Rust
- Experience with modern tools such as Kafka, Kubernetes, Open Tofu, Docker, GitLab CI/CD
- Familiarity with automating testing methodologies like BDD or TDD
- Solid understanding of contemporary software product development and delivery, with significant experience in GitOps and DevOps methodologies.
- Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially with AWS.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English for clear and effective communication in a global context
