The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Iraq Business Unit.

This Project aims to take over the existing asset and maximize the production in 2 phases. This is a fast-track project and schedule-oriented Design to enhance the production.

The Phase 1 will restore, upgrade, and develop the current plant (CPF1) including: Restoration of initial CPF1 capacity; building a new export pipeline (24", ~30km); restoration of CPF1 integrity and operability; flaring elimination and released water; development of new flowlines, pads, and electrification network for approximately 30 new wells; debottlenecking of the plant; upgrade of the Safety and Security facilities.

Our scope is to provide Engineering, Procurement services and Construction assistance (EPsCa) for the initial development phase of the field in Southern Iraq. The scope of services includes FEED, detailed design, procurement support, and construction and commissioning assistance.

Key Objectives

• Design, develop, and oversee electrical systems for projects in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
• Perform power distribution, lighting, and control system design, including cable sizing, earthing system calculation, lighting calculation, Single line diagram, schematics diagram, cable routing and layout plans.
• Perform power system study, load flow, short circuit calculation, motor starting analysis, protection relay coordination and Harmonic assessment study utilizing ETAP software.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
• Prepare and review technical documents, datasheet, specifications, and reports.
• Evaluate new technologies and provide recommendations for system improvements.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.

Expected:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on system design and project execution.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE) and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, Revit, MATLAB).
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, control systems, and renewable energy solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines.
