CORROSION CONTROL SUPERVISOR
Overview
Undertake and supervise corrosion management & control activities across Dukhan fields/plants including Chemical inhibition, removal and assessment of Corrosion coupons, probes and injection quills, and management/assessment of Cathodic Protections systems for pipelines, tanks, road crossings, buries vessels etc. Supervise contractors in the execution of Corrosion management and control activities.
Experience
A minimum 6 year hands-on experience of corrosion control in Oil & Gas facilities, including corrosion coupon and probe monitoring, and cathodic protection monitoring and maintenance.
Understanding of integrity management software systems such as GE APMS, Meridium, Credo, RBMI, ACET is preferred.
Certified according to NACE/AMPP in Corrosion and Cathodic Protection.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of Cathodic Protection of underground pipelines.
Practical experience in managing contract resources related to CP and Corrosion Monitoring & Control.
Good leadership skills and experience in supervisory position.
Computer literate with MS Office suite and SAP CMMS and an excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken
Qualifications
SSC (Hons) degree in metallurgical, mechanical engineering or a related discipline. Professional membership of an appropriate Engineering Institution (e.g. IMechE, ASME, NACE/AMPP).
