As a Rental Equipment Coordinator, you'll be responsible for managing the rental of equipment, ensuring timely availability, and optimizing costs, while adhering to safety regulations and coordinating with various departments to meet project needs.

This role is responsible for coordinating the rental of equipment for projects within the petrochemical refinery, ensuring efficient and cost-effective utilization while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Rental Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop and implement rental equipment plans for various projects, considering project scope, duration, and specific equipment requirements.
  • Identify and select appropriate rental equipment from internal and external sources, considering cost, availability, and suitability.
  • Negotiate rental agreements with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Manage the scheduling and allocation of rental equipment, ensuring timely delivery and pick-up.
  • Maintain accurate records of rental equipment, including rental agreements, invoices, and equipment status.
  • Cost Management and Optimization:
  • Monitor rental equipment costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Compare rental rates from different vendors and negotiate for the best possible prices.
  • Track rental equipment utilization and identify areas for improvement.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure that all rental equipment meets safety standards and regulations.
  • Provide safety training and guidance to personnel using rental equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rental equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and maintenance personnel.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and pick-up of rental equipment.
  • Resolve any issues or problems related to rental equipment in a timely and effective manner.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of all rental equipment transactions, including rental agreements, invoices, and equipment status.
  • Generate reports on rental equipment costs, utilization, and performance.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    2-3 years of experience in equipment rental, procurement, or logistics, preferably in a petrochemical industry or similar environment.
Skills:
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of Rental Equipment Tools (UnitedRentals Total Control)
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of petrochemical industry operations and equipment.
  • Negotiation skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to climb or crawl to locate / identify equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry light to heavy weights.
  • Ability to stand and walk for periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
