This position reports to

Procurement Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for being an interface between Procurement and Engineering team. Each day, you will drive procurement knowledge (market, suppliers, external intelligence) into the development process to optimize engineering cost, quality, and technology. You will also showcase your expertise by translating engineering requests into procurement parameters for execution. The work model for the role is: Hybrid {#LI-Hybrid} This role is contributing to the Process Automation Business Area in Chile. Your main stakeholders will be internal, consisting of the Sales, Engineering and Operations teams. You will be mainly accountable for: • Supporting the Sales teams searching for alternatives, both technically and commercially viable, to drive and expedite delivery, according to ABB's Third Party Management policies. • Supporting project demands as required (purchasing activities, inquiries, etc.) • Guaranteeing a smooth follow-up process in accordance to the project's requirements and dynamics. • Guaranteeing the invoice and payment processes according to project milestones and work successfully executed.

Qualifications for the role

• You have a professional degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field, with over 5 years of experience in Procurement & Logistics roles.
• You are highly analytical, capable of carrying out multiple tasks and successfully following up on them regularly. You also find interest in the reasoning behind your daily operations and business impact of your role. You communicate effectively, are highly creative and an outside-the-box thinker, as well as sharply focused on process controls and objectives.
• You have advanced knowledge and experience with Excel, and have desirably worked with SAP MM (Material Management module) and PowerBI,
• You have a solid grasp of the Spanish language, capable of holding full conversations independently, as well as being able to interact to a lesser degree in English ("intermediate" grasp of the language is desirable but not mandatory).
