The Project Accountant will provide project accounting as well as general accounting support to the PSS US Operations region. The position will play a key role in the month end close, reporting and forecasting processes. This includes, but is not confined to project reviews and forecasting, journal entries, validating accuracy of financial data, and reconciling accounts. In addition, the position will be responsible for providing timely, meaningful and accurate analysis of project accounts as well as reporting on special metrics. This will require flexibility and agility to adapt to ever changing processes. A strong background in accounting and/or Finance is required for this position.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Review engineering projects and ensure proper application of cost and recognition of revenue in accordance with percentage-of-completion accounting authoritative guidance
• Provide monthly analysis of engineering projects actuals vs expected results
• Participate in project financial reviews with senior management and business leaders
• Prepare mid-month project financial analysis for project management teams
• Participate in close, budget preparation and audit cycles.
• Reconcile selected balance sheet accounts per reconciliation schedule.
• Prepare selected month end journal entries and analyze accounts.
• Support internal customers for departmental reporting related to Performance Services
• Act as the finance primary point of contact for Performance Services
• Perform special projects to improve process efficiency and performance
• Other job duties as required

For This Role, You Will Need:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 3 years of accounting or financial analysis experience, or a master's degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 2 years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• The ability to focus on details and a commitment to accuracy
• Familiarity with percentage-of-completion accounting rules
• Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently while handling multiple tasks.
• Advanced skills in Excel
• English, written and verbal, is required

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Power BI experience
• With advanced data analysis skills
• Experience working with Oracle Financials and Projects modules or similar
