Your role and responsibilities

By applying global scale with local expertise, we shape and support global trends, deliver excellence for customers and power a sustainable future for society. go.abb/electrification In this project-based position, you will be the expert in delivering competitive bids, estimates and quotes to customers for electrical low voltage distribution systems focusing on motor control centers, switchboards, loadcenters, and panelboards for Smart Power & Smart Building divisions in Canada. In this role your attention to detail and ability to coordinate with multiple channel partners will be vital to this key component of providing accurate product solutions. • Formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations by considering the best product offering available, appropriate technical solutions and commercial aspects for each situation. • Ensuring tenders are well-documented and submitted in a timely manner with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs. • Managing the collection and archival of project documentation regarding the offer/order and recording of assumptions and decisions made during development; and ensuring the status of the bids, estimates, and quotations are reported regularly. • Provide timely and accurate delivery of proposals based on critical project submission deadlines through coordination with relevant stakeholders. • Issue responses to RFI/RFQ requests from customers. • Contribute to an effective and positive customer relationship throughout the proposal process. • Collaborating through teamwork and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project execution. • Create, maintain, and follow up on project opportunities in Salesforce.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in formulating medium to complex proposals.
  • Strong knowledge of low voltage distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce & relevant CRM Platforms (an asset).
  • Strong ability to interpret technical specifications and single line diagrams.
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative, and ability to manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously with a collaborative, solution-focused and detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong fluency in French (Bilingual an asset). French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
