We are looking for a new R&D Test Manager to join the Test Development group within the Research and Development Engineering team.

Our R&D Test Engineering team is responsible for developing functional tests for new HW products, ensuring they meet all required standards and specifications. As part of the global R&D organization, you will lead a team of electrical engineers, run resources, define group strategies, and coordinate the career development of your team members. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Electrical Engineering or a similar field, with several years of work experience, and at least 1-2 years of leadership experience.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative HW products and collaborate with remote colleagues in Austin and Penang. If you are passionate about electronics and enjoy working in a dynamic, multinational environment, we look forward to your application!

In this role, your responsibilities will be:
  • Lead and supervise a team of electrical engineers in developing functional tests for new hardware products.
  • Ensure all HW products meet the required standards and specifications through rigorous testing and verification processes.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including remote colleagues in Austin and Penang.
  • Facilitate communication between your team and other R&D and Manufacturing groups.
  • Provide technical support and solutions for internal customers, addressing any issues related to HW testing and verification.
  • Lead the professional and career development of your team members by identifying training and career development opportunities.
  • Supervise the team's resources, budgets, and schedules to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key collaborators to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Define group strategies and lead resources to achieve organizational goals.

For this role, you will need:
  • A diploma in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
  • At least 1-2 years of leadership experience leading engineers.
  • Strong leadership and solid technical skills.
  • Demonstrated success and experience in project and people management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions.
  • A personality committed to achieving goals, open to growth and learning.
  • A great teammate with active participation in partnerships.
  • Ability to prioritize projects, tasks, and operational expenses.
  • Ability to work with multi-functional teams.
  • Work on-site 4 days a week.
