Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Management: Ensure our blasting equipment is always in peak condition and ready for action.
- Material Preparation: Become an expert in cleaning, masking, and media blasting techniques for painting.
- Quality Assurance: Examine and measure finished surfaces to ensure they meet the highest specifications.
- Workspace Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace to drive our manufacturing functions forward.
- Tool Proficiency: Master the use of basic hand tools and measuring devices.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform daily machine maintenance and change filters as necessary.
- Visual Inspections: Conduct in-process visual inspections to guarantee top-quality results.
- Certifications: Gain respirator certification and become a certified waste handler.
- Hazardous Materials: Work with hazardous materials and tolerate heat.
- Physical Requirements: Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs.
- Paint Mixing: Learn the art of mixing various paint ratios and testing mixtures.
- Painting Techniques: Apply a range of finishes using spray guns, paint cans, and touch-up guns.
- Safety Gear: Use additional PPE as needed and pass annual eye exams specific to your job title.
- Cross-Training: Cross-train within the department and support manufacturing operations across product lines.
- Team Training: Train less experienced team members and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications / Skills:
- Team Collaboration and Lean Practices: Actively participate in a team environment that utilizes lean and 5S practices to enhance products and processes.
- Educational and Technical Skills: Possess a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and a fundamental understanding of blueprints and specifications.
- Mathematical and ERP Proficiency: Demonstrate basic math skills and basic ERP knowledge.

- Prior experience with sandblasting and manufacturing
