As a General Counsel here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in providing legal guidance and support to our Advanced Materials business unit. You will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and managing legal risks. Your expertise in legal matters will be instrumental in driving business growth and protecting the organization's interests.
You will report directly to our General Counsel for Litigation and you'll work out of our New Jersey or Washington location on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will have a significant impact on the overall legal strategy of the organization by providing health, safety and environmental-related legal advice and support to the Advanced Materials business unit. You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts, managing litigation and disputes, and advising on legal and regulatory compliance. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the protection of the organization's interests and the achievement of business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide health, safety and environment legal guidance and support to the Advanced Materials business unit
• Oversee health, safety and environment legal matters and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Manage legal risks and advise on legal and regulatory compliance for health, safety and environment matters
• Support litigation and disputes for health, safety and environment matters
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to protect the organization's interests
In October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.
The annual base salaryrange for this position is $270K - $320K. Please note that this salaryinformation serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factorswhen extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilitiesof the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, keyskills, as well as market and business considerations.
This position is incentiveplan eligible.
YOU MUST HAVE
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school 10+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on health, safety, and environment matters Strong knowledge of health, safety and environment laws and regulations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
