What's the role

Opportunity to join as a R&M Work Preparation and Scheduling Engineer (WPSE) for the first Deepwater Sour Gas development in Sarawak, the Rosmari and Marjoram fields to deliver Operations and Maintenance Work Planning & Scheduling related tasks to ensure safe production of hydrocarbon within operating envelope, business targets and regulatory compliances.

What you'll be doing

You will execute accountabilities, but not limited to below, which may be included as and when required to ensure successful ORA processes and OPERATE phase of R&M OGP:
  • Relentless pursuit of Goal zero target with no harm to people (Personal Safety) and no Leak (Process Safety).
  • During project phase, in their new respective role, initial focus phase will be to ensure asset readiness and to lead the integrated project and asset team to start up Offshore facilities and OGP safely and meeting SURU Target.
  • During Operate phase, responsible to work on WPSE related SEAM processes
  • Deputises R&M Maintenance Lead roles and responsibilities, as and when necessary.
  • Chairs the YTT & daily notification review.
  • Responsible and oversee end to end of Operations and Maintenance team, Work Orders process in SAP, ensuring all PM/CM Work Orders are completed to requirements, materials ordered/secured, vendor/contractor engaged and translated into work packs for successful execution.
  • Coordinate and follow up with activity owners to ensure work processes is optimized.
  • Perform ready for execution checks and check material availability and readiness.
  • Liaise with 3rd parties, vendors, contractors and visitors' mobilization /demobilization to/from R&M OGP facilities as per activity plan in coordination.
  • Ensure that PR/PO are in accordance with contract specification and responsible for making payment to vendors.
  • Support the 52-weeks, 90-days, 14-days and 7-days plan activities, work periodization and check resources, material, manpower availability.
  • Manage material procurement - ordering, evaluation, expediting and following up.
  • Prepare cost report and coordination with finance team.
  • Monitor FSR status on daily basis. Coordinate action to notify activity owner to plan for mitigation plan when required due date is approaching.
  • Close liaison with planners (Functional/IAPS/TA MM & Schedulers) and perform gatekeeping to ensure that the demand plan is delivered on time with required granularity/quality as per agreed demand planning process.
  • Coordinating the planning and scheduling process and performance review within Maintenance & Operations, including identifying frozen activities (both short and medium-term), and monitoring changes and improvements that contribute to the overall maintenance deliver while ensuring maintenances cost efficiency and optimization.
  • Collaborate with the TA MM team and function as block leads during turnarounds.
  • Ensure maintenance related activities in collaboration with functional planners to deliver short-term (30-90 days), medium-term (1-2 years), and long-term (>2 years) activity planning across Maintenance Execution, Turnaround, Operations, Discipline Engineering, and Portfolio Projects. This involves collaboration and integration with various activity owners, schedulers, work preparers, turnaround engineers, and the TA MM execution team.
  • Ensure frontline productivity by managing the plan versus actual work schedule, including a 14-day sprint look-ahead. Verify and measure contractor project execution performance based on the actual value of work done (VOWD) versus the workpack schedule, utilizing contract construction norms. Verify actual manpower and equipment loading using resource leveling, as per the delivery plan and cost allocation for the project. Provide daily reporting on offshore performance and lead improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the maintenance business planning and forecasting cycle, covering both operational expenditures (Opex) and capital expenditures (Capex), ensuring accurate and realistic forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) on maintenance operational data and equipment performance history to deliver improvements in critical maintenance-related metrics, including unplanned downtime, preventive maintenance (PM) compliance, schedule compliance, mean-time-between-failures (MTBF), and maintenance-related costs.

What you bring

We are keen to explore candidates with the following:
  • Min. 8 years of oil and gas frontline operations and maintenance, preferably with Sour Gas Plant experiences.
  • Experiences in managing prevention and corrective maintenance execution/improvement, including work planning and scheduling.
  • Project management and planning experiences.
  • Degree in any Engineering disciplines is preferred.
  • Good leadership, stakeholder management, planning, communication/writing and problem-solving skills.
