Debt Management and Compliance:
- Oversee the company's debt portfolio, ensuring accurate recording and compliance with debt covenants.
- Manage the debt repayment schedules, interest payments, and coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure timely servicing of debt obligations.
- Maintain relationships with lenders and other financial institutions, ensuring clear communication and efficient debt management processes.
Financing and Structuring:
- Support the structuring of new financing, refinancing, and debt restructuring efforts.
- Assist in negotiating loan agreements, terms, and conditions with lenders and external stakeholders.
- Analyze and recommend financing options based on the company's capital needs and strategic objectives.
Risk Assessment and Reporting:
- Conduct regular analysis of interest rate exposure, maturity profiles, and other debt-related risks.
- Monitor economic indicators, financial markets, and credit conditions that could impact the company's debt portfolio.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on debt positions, interest costs, covenant compliance, and other metrics to senior management
- Policy and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and debt covenant requirements.
- Support the development of debt management policies and maintain a clear record of all debt-related transactions and documentation.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field (advanced degree or certifications like CFA, CPA, or CTP is a plus).
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in debt management, treasury, finance, or a related area.
- Strong understanding of debt markets, credit analysis, and financial instruments.
- Proven experience with financial modelling and debt structuring.
- Proficiency with treasury management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Proficiency in Excel and other financial reporting tools; familiarity with debt management software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
