Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to conduct proactive business development aligned with the division's strategy in countries where business conditions require increased attention and focus. Each day, you will provide business support, including expertise in products, applications, solutions, and segment and customer (group) support for the assigned product portfolio. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring profitable business growth and sustainable deployment of the division's strategic plan. The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid, Onsite #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings Business, based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for: • Developing and executing comprehensive short-term & long-term business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share. Identifying emerging markets, customer segments, and competitive opportunities through in-depth market research and analysis. • Prospecting, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders. Fostering long-term relationships with existing partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maximizing mutual value. • Working closely with Product and Operations teams to design customized solutions and address client-specific needs. Analyzing customer needs and market gaps to propose innovative solutions or product adaptations. Driving sales pipeline development by collaborating with local distributors and internal cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Sales). • Analyzing sales performance metrics, market trends, and competitor activities to refine strategies and prioritize opportunities. Preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting progress against KPIs (e.g., revenue growth, pipeline value, sell-in & sell-out). • Maintaining C-level relationships with stakeholders, ensuring high client retention and satisfaction. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their challenges and proposing value-added solutions. • Monitoring sales performance from local distributors and optimizing partnerships for mutual value. Providing FCST of order intake and revenue by month by product by region.

Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or sales, with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets and market expansion.
- Strong leadership qualities, adaptability in dynamic environments, creative problem-solving skills, and a results-oriented mindset; ability to act as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders while driving measurable outcomes.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin) are advantageous. Experience in industries such as technology, manufacturing or consumer goods, with an understanding of global market dynamics and regulatory environments.
