Enbridge of Ohio is looking for a Gas Project Leader to join the team in Akron, OH. There is one position available that will be filled at the Gas Project Leader level, commensurate with the selected candidate's skills and abilities.

What You Will Do:
  • Responsible for supporting management, planning and direction for gas delivery projects and/or programs of moderately complexity (mid-sized) within distribution construction and maintenance.
  • Provides oversight for and ensures effective engineering designs or projects adherence to company SOP's, engineering/construction processes, proper pipeline materials determination/selection, pressure testing, Horizontal Direction drilling, Auger Boring, Bridge installations, and industry standards.
  • Responsible for coordination, planning and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides oversight to and monitors construction contractors and subcontractors ensuring projects meet required scope, schedule and budget.
  • Performs core responsibilities and exercises independent judgment, may provide guidance/direction to less experienced team members.
Who You Are:
  • Directly Related Experience includes: engineering/construction, project management, or a related field.
  • Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Project Management or Business.
  • 3+ years' experience with a Bachelor's degree OR
  • 5+ years of experience with an Associate's degree OR
  • 7+ years of experience with a high school diploma/GED.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, relevant technologies, and leadership in the assigned project areas.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and small dollar budget management.
  • Skills: Good planning, organizational and project management skills. Skilled in developing, implementing, and managing new construction and/or improvement projects that enhance the overall reliability, efficiency, and safety of the plant. Strong team building skills. Effective negotiating skills, Strong verbal, and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
  • Abilities: Ability to manage multiple projects, at multiple locations, simultaneously. Ability to develop, manage, and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project requirements and schedules. Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff.

Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):

Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 45 amount of pounds), grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
