We are a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate HVAC Application Engineer. This position reports to Field Service/Application Manager and will work from one of our Dometic sites within the Southeast region of the United States (Ashland, VA; Port St. Lucie, FL; Sarasota, FL)

About the position

As a HVAC Application Engineer in the Field Service team, you will provide technical expertise and lead complex system integration projects for Dometic Marine products, including Ride & Handling, Stabilization, Boat Living, and Mobile Power Solutions. This role supports OEM and Dealer sales efforts, ensuring successful product implementation and customer satisfaction.

Your main responsibilities
  • System Design & Integration: Lead the technical design, customization, and integration of complex marine systems, ensuring product solutions meet customer needs and specifications.
  • Technical Support & Consultation: Provide expert guidance to OEMs, assisting with product demonstrations, technical challenges, and system troubleshooting.
  • Project Execution: Oversee the end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery. Collaborate with internal teams and OEM customers to coordinate technical tasks and problem resolution.
  • Sales Support: Work with the Regional OEM Sales Manager to support sales initiatives by delivering technical presentations and facilitating customer understanding of product benefits.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare technical documentation and ensure that projects meet industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Provide technical training, training content development, and support to internal teams and customers on product use, system integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Voice to Engineer: Provide product application feedback into engineering that will drive engineering product improvement and innovation.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned.

A suitable background would be a solid experience within Application Engineering within Marine industry - as well as the following qualifications and experiences:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in application engineering, preferably in marine, aerospace, or automotive industries.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead complex projects.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools.
