About your role:
As a Thermatic Technical FM Apprentice Engineer, you'll be given the opportunity to develop and hone your technical skills in a wide variety of environments and situations.
You'll be working alongside a team of highly skilled and experienced technical engineers and supported by our in-house technical and development teams who are fully invested in your future at Thermatic. You'll be supported by one of our apprenticeship mentors and will join as part of a national apprentice cohort; starting your journeys together.
You'll have the opportunity to work with engineers of your own trade and other complimentary skillsets so, whilst you'll be focussing on your gas skills and qualifications, you'll gain experience and understanding across the full HVAC, mechanical & electrical spectrum in both domestic and commercial settings.
As we offer both planned and reactive service and maintenance solutions to our clients, no two days will be the same. Whilst you'll be contracted to standard days, there will be the requirement to support with early starts or late finishes. This role is required to start before September 2025.
All roles are fully mobile so you'll need to hold a full UK driving licence and be confident driving a small van. Our roles cover regional areas so you'll be expected to drive between towns and cities near to you (including motorway driving).

Main location - this is a fully mobile role covering the Northwest and surrounding areas.
Regular hours of work - Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm - 40 hour working week. As an apprentice, you'll be required to attend classroom days which will meet your "off-the-job" hours requirements.
Whilst this is our company standard working week, our clients require "out of hours" maintenance so early starts/late finishes are to be expected.

Here's what we're looking for:
- 4 GCSEs, ideally including Maths & English, at grade C/4 or above or a recognised equivalent.
- A genuine passion for learning a trade, striving for a successful career & providing exceptional customer service.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Availability to attend training at our Manchester Academy and Salford City College.
- Any previous experience or qualifications in your chosen or a similar field would be desirable but aren't necessary.
