This position reports to

Sales Manager, West Region

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will drive the Regional Instrumentation business by continuing to spread the value message of ABB measurement and control with our End Users. Consult with the End User to define project goals, design a solution that meets or exceeds stated goals and ensure the ABB solution is implemented successfully. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and continuously drive segment performance. The work model for the role is: Remote (Must be in Pittsburgh or Allentown) This role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division in the Northeast region. You will be mainly accountable for: Creating, planning and implementing the sales mission, vision and strategy for the Oil and Gas market in the Northeast region. Achieving assigned order intake, margin and related objectives for the entire instrumentation product portfolio in Oil and Gas Developing relationships with key stake holders. Responsible for planning and implementing customer surveys, analyzing and acting on the results to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction Develop, implement and review sales processes and related tools, and all relevant training and development plans, actions and programs. Qualifications for the role

  • Associates Degree in technology preferred with combined 6 years of experience in instrumentation sales through direct and/or indirect channel partners or distribution
  • Good time, activity and priority management skills
  • Leverage your existing relationships in the automation and measurement industry to bring new selling opportunities to ABB.
  • Ability to develop and implement structured sales processes and strategies that improve efficiency and lead to winning.
  • Intense competitor knowledge; Passion for selling and winning.
  • Resilience to overcome rejection.
  • Obsessive focus on end users, their wants and needs, their goals and objectives, how they buy, how they maintain their equipment, how they partner with suppliers.
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels in ABB, our channel partners, and our end users (from field personnel to corner office).
  • Solid understanding of instrumentation, level technology and markets.
