Your role and responsibilities

Are you excited about shaping the future of automation technology and driving innovative product strategies? In this role, you will be responsible for identifying market needs and trends, conducting competitive analysis, and crafting business cases for new product development and strategies. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of software and service products, ensuring they align with market demands and the division's strategic goals. From roadmaps and development to launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability, you will ensure each step is in harmony with the overarching vision and objectives of the business. As a key player in product management, you will ensure that all stages of the product development process meet strategic goals and deadlines. You will manage core R&D projects focused on automation, tracking progress, updating plans, conducting risk analysis, and providing detailed documentation and reporting. Once the products are launched, you will take charge of evaluating their performance and ROI, making adjustments to strategies as needed to optimize outcomes. Collaboration will be a critical part of your success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and support, to ensure that products are developed and launched successfully. Your role will also include driving the evolution strategy for future technologies, particularly for installed-based systems, and supporting sales enablement activities to introduce new technologies into relevant markets. As a leader, you will guide and coach the sales and operations teams, helping them communicate the vision for automation in BL Metals effectively. You will connect with the operations team to gather feedback on automation products, identifying bugs or new requirements for the portfolio and communicating these insights to the PCP team. Ensuring compliance with international regulations and maintaining the highest level of quality will also be key responsibilities as you work to ensure that all products meet required standards.

Qualifications for the role

• To thrive in this role, you will need foundational experience in automation technology, a master's degree in electrical engineering (M.Sc. or M.Eng.), and experience in the metals industry. Fluency in English is required to be successful in this position.
• While we are open to candidates from various locations, a location in Central Europe is preferred for this role to ensure alignment with the team's needs and objectives.
