The GE Aerospace Fleet Support organization is dedicated to ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our GE and CFM commercial aircraft engines worldwide. Through our round-the-clock coverage support, we can monitor over 44,000 engines remotely, enabling proactive issue detection as well as resolution for our customers digitally. This unique service minimizes fleet disruptions to our customers and enables them to keep their fleet flying. Critical to achieving this overarching strategy is the role of our Fleet Support Quality Leader.

The Fleet Support Quality Leader is responsible for both the quality assurance as well as quality control for our team's operations. Working in close partnership with the Fleet Support leadership and working level teams, this role will be focused on standardization, quality management, document management, methods creation and maintenance, process improvement, as well as tools for the project management function. The Fleet Support Quality Leader is responsible for both the quality assurance as well as quality control for our team's operations. Working in close partnership with the Fleet Support leadership and working level teams, this role will be focused on standardization, quality management, document management, methods creation and maintenance, process improvement, as well as tools for the project management function. In addition, this role will be responsible for:
- Creating, implementing, and sustaining a Fleet Support Quality Management System
- Defining quality standards that would meet an auditable industry standard
- Leading the Quality Escape Management process to identify root causes, lessons learned, and drive corrective actions in a timely manner
- Defining, deploying, and managing project management related processes and support tools
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in STEM related field of study
- Minimum of 8 years of full-time, hands-on experience in quality management system operations
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job opening.
Desired Characteristics
- Master's of Business Administration preferred
- Experience working in the aviation industry, power, or transportation
- Understanding airline operating models
- Experience with quality management certification, such as ISO 9001, ISO 27000, or equivalent standards.
- Applied experience with lean, continuous improvement, six sigma, or black belt methodologies
- Proven ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence to drive outcomes across a global, matrixed organization
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate key concepts effectively including presenting to customers and senior leaders
- Demonstrated success in leading programs / projects
- Role model of GE Aerospace Behaviors - Customer Focus, Continuous Improvement, and Respect for People
