- The activities are performed in a multifunctional environment which is subject to change (in safety, economics, monetary, tax and labor regulations) with high-level of reporting requirements and significant scrutiny of the financial information of the MzLNG Project from Government, Lenders, Partners, Shareholders and Auditors resulting in added/high pressure to meet multiple deadlines without compromising the accuracy.
- Complex and multi layered contractual environment most of which first of its kind in the Country. Binding agreements and complex covenants (JOA, PSC, EPCC, Legal and commercial agreements, MOUs, etc.). Several interfaces with multiple stakeholders across areas, affiliates, and external parties.
Activities
- Participate in needs assessments, SAP version changes, and functional upgrades & evolutions carried out in the affiliate, in accordance with applicable change & internal control procedures;
- Assist the SAP Coordinator designing and delivering trainings to end users and help SAP. appropriation along with the promotion of SAP best practices;
- Be the backup of the SAP Coordinator when necessary and help executing User Acceptance Tests (UATs) in relation with the key user and lead user network. Help documenting SAP best practices and standard processes and disseminating this information to all relevant stakeholders;
- Provide technical and functional expertise in troubleshooting, resolving and preventing process issues in SAP FI/CO, SAP MM and other SAP modules & components and their related tools as part of the TEPMA1 SAP level 1 support and in relation with Head Office SAP Competence Center entities;
- Perform analyses in, and suggest improvements to, the SAP solution implemented in TEPMA1 and MzLNG entities;
- Participate in regular SAP-related internal control activities, e.g., management of end user accounts, documentation of SAP processes, preparation of Sarbanes-Oxley supporting documentation, etc;
- Perform SAP-related (non-business) SOX controls, i.e., IT General Controls (ITGCs) and IT Applicative Controls (ITACs), with their relating "Information Processed by Entities" (IPEs);
- Perform, when requested, the testing of business (non-SAP) SOX controls, and the monitoring of their remediation plans following deficiencies;
- Assist TEPMA1 internal auditors in analyses and reviews of SAP processes as part of planned or ad hoc audits engagements;
- Provide business teams in Finance with assistance over preparation of audit by external auditors (statutory, from partners, from local authorities...).
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in financial accounting or any related areas;
- Previous experience in Information Systems & Technology;
- SAP courses in any of the modules & SAP certifications or other professional certifications, or equivalent experience;
- 10+ years' experience of SAP & Business Warehouse development projects & support and previous SAP experience;
- General knowledge of IT organizations, and the main business processes managed in SAP;
- Senior in Finance with strong Contracts & Procurement background and JV Accounting knowledge is an advantage;
- Good understanding of Logistics and Stock Management;
- Practical experience of internal control enforcement and audits, ideally on Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for Information Systems;
- Keen sense of customer service. Communication and team leadership/project management skills;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organization, autonomy and drive, patience, humility, and persistence;
- Ability to perform multiple tasks against deadlines and work collaboratively as part of a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.
