Quantity Surveyor
We have an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join us at Honeywell, Warsaw, Poland where you will be responsible for providing commercial guidance and expertise and ensuring that challenging projects are delivered on time and on budget, develop commercial strategies to ensure that risks and opportunities are identified and managed and manage claims and submissions to ensure that margin is protected and enhanced and working capital recovered in a timely manner. This is a hybrid role, 3 + 2 days model with travel to client sites as required.

Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and execute project commercial strategies and monitor budget, bill of quantities, pricing schedules, estimate at completion analysis
- Guide and influence the Project Manager on commercial/quantity risks and opportunities
- Preparation and submission of scope and time claims and variations
- Maximising commercial opportunity to enhance margins and improve working capital position
- Preparation and submission of applications for payments and accounts
- Tracking of Variation Orders, scope deviations and quantity progress
- Preparation of monthly financial statements (subcontractors and customer)
- Appraisal and response to sub-contractor and supplier applications and claims
- Preparation of Pre-Contract Quantified Schedules of Rates for tender returns
Key skills and qualifications
- Previous experience within Quantity Surveying / Project Commercial Management with experience in a construction contracting environment
- Proven ability to work with a variety of standard form and bespoke contracts and applicable statute
- Knowledge of building installations (LV, electrical, HVAC) will be advantage
- Proven track record of successfully developing, implementing and executing project commercial strategies and leading the Project Manager on commercial risks and opportunities
- Ability to develop successful claims and recovery and defence of both upstream and downstream claims
- Ability to provide and present clear, concise and accurate reports in varying media and proficiency within Microsoft Office package e.g. Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.
