This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Iraq Business Unit.

Wood has been awarded an Onshore Project to support an International Client operation by providing Engineering Services plus Project Management, Supply Chain, Construction, Commissioning, EPC Management support both within Iraq and Dubai offices. The Vision of this Contract is to enhance the production by delivering Greenfield and Brownfield modification projects that include new installations as well as a series of modifications to the existing facilities. Team of Engineers and Designers based in Dubai and Basra supports in execution of these projects.

Key Objectives

• To carry out Civil / Structural discipline work within a project team, supporting the project team for field development of oil and gas production facilities
• To prepare Civil / Structural deliverables for a project in the oil and gas industry, and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client's policies and procedures.
• Experience in Concrete, Structural steel, Underground drainage & Layout design, estimation and drawing detailing will be preferred.
• To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project specifications and schedule.
• To promote safe behavior at all times
• Carry out work in accordance with Wood and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
• Keep up to date with technical developments.
• Maintain good communication with the team and client.

Expected:

• Incumbents must have Design Engineering Experience
• Degree in Civil Engineering (B.Sc./B.Eng./M.Sc.)
• Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in the oil and gas industry
• Previous working experience in the middle east would be an advantage.
• Strong Analytical skills
• Good Communication skills
• Good Arabic / English speaking and writing skill.
• Interpersonal skills and Team Work
• Good computer skills
• Quality conscience with the proper attention to detail
• Familiarity or experience with the following systems desired - work management system, integrity management system
• Applicants MUST have a Basra residency card.
