Network Integration Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Network Integration Engineer who will be responsible for integrating the network infrastructure of an acquired company with Emerson's existing network. This involves thoroughly understanding the current state of the acquired company's network, collaborating with engineers from various services to develop and execute a comprehensive plan for connection and standardization. Additionally, ensuring that both the current and future network states remain operationally supportable is crucial.
IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
Service Engineering:
- Participate in multiple simultaneous network integration projects to incorporate the acquired company's network into Emerson's standard network services, aligning with the overall integration strategy and ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and documentation of the acquired company's network environment. Serve as the authoritative source for the overall project team, providing detailed insights and ensuring accurate knowledge transfer.
- Provide ongoing support for legacy technologies and standards within the acquired company's network until they can be updated to meet Emerson's standards, ensuring continuity and stability during the transition period.
- Actively support other integration initiatives as needed, including application migrations, data transfers, and other synergy projects. Contribute to the overall success of the integration by ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
- Participate in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving network issues that arise during the integration process. Work collaboratively with the project team to drive issues to resolution, maintaining network performance and reliability.
- Fourth Level Support: Provide 4th level support to Operations for escalated issues and drives these to resolution

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- BA/BS in Information Systems or related area
- Experience of working in a global environment
- Process Discipline and Documentation skills
- Extensive experience in the design, implementation and operation of WAN and LAN networks with Cisco hardware
- Experience of working in our environment that uses Virtual Router Forwarding (VRF)
- Experience of Cisco SD-WAN and legacy Cisco IPSEC solutions
- Experience of Fortigate Firewalls and Switches
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
- Experience of Cisco Layer 2 extensions technologies (Bridging)
