You'll be part of a collaborative group of experts, including 9 European Patent Attorneys and 4 Patent Assistants, working in a rapidly evolving, international environment.

As a patent attorney in Vestas' patents team, you will be a trusted and key advisor on intellectual property and strategic decision-making. You will have the opportunity to contribute significantly and work closely with stakeholders and colleagues across Vestas.
You will be empowered to provide commercial, value-creating solutions to complex issues within the fast-growing renewable industry. This will enable Vestas to maintain its market-leading position, support the full value capture of Vestas' investments in technology development, and mitigate risks. You will be part of a highly collaborative and skilled legal and patents team with a global outlook and impact.
The position is located at Vestas' office in either Aarhus, Copenhagen, or Hamburg.

This position requires up to 15 days of travel per year.

Responsibilities
Your tasks and responsibilities will be diverse and cover all aspects of IPR handling at a global technology leader, including
- Harvesting and assessing ideas
- Drafting patent applications and instructing external agents
- Patent prosecution and portfolio management
- Handling patent oppositions and supporting on potential litigation
- Supporting development project and collaborations with internal and external partners
- Performing freedom to operate work and patent landscaping
- Conducting training to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Qualified European Patent Attorney, or currently in the process of qualifying (training can be completed as part of the position for the right candidate)
- Relevant technical background, such as engineering, physics, or materials science
- Experience in distance management, planning, and coordination
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written

- Solid insight into business operations with a service-oriented mindset
- A willingness to make significant contributions to the team and respond effectively to demands
- Effective capacity to enhance productivity and take ownership
