Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a Quality and Reliability Specialist to join our team at ABB Oy, System Drives division. System Drives is further investing in drive system development into different fields of applications (e.g. hydrogen production) and thus strengthening its design organization. This position is based in Helsinki, Finland, offering a dynamic and impactful opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology development. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of various frequency converter product development projects. In addition, you will have the opportunity to further your career in a global company. The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Planning and documenting quality and reliability aspects • Collecting feedback from reference products to drive improvements • Defining quality and reliability requirements for projects • Developing project-specific quality & reliability test plans • Coordinating reliability testing and ensuring follow-up on test plans • Reviewing test reports and analyzing results to identify insights and improvements

Qualifications for the role

• It is essential that you possess an enhanced experience in quality and reliability, preferably with a focus on electronics and power electronics related reliability issues
• Ability to demonstrate your solid understanding of failure mechanisms in electronics and power electronics is essential
• It is relevant that you are experienced in using statistical tools for reliability analysis
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electronics, Power Electronics, Mechanics or a related field
• You are at ease in communicating in English, both written and spoken. Finnish is a plus
• Practical experience with electronics and frequency converters is beneficial
• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and you enjoy collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
