Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for an intern who will help us with several projects related to marine industry. The projects are related to bridge control systems supporting the operators on the vessels. The Bridge solution is a family of products which is providing an extended operator workplace by utilization of augmented vision, sensor fusion and dynamic positioning techniques. To strengthen our portfolio the unified graphical user interface has been developed and maintained in Kraków. Marine UI provides a seamless integration with all the ABB's equipment allowing for smother operation. We are looking for Intern for Developer position with the practical knowledge of C++ or Python to support new activities and internal tools development. Here are more details on what you can expect: • Developing applications using C++, Python, QML, JS. • Active participation in software tests process. Contribution to CI/CD development. • Working with industrial communication OPCUA protocol. • Preparing application for customers and emulation software based on the Qt framework. • Providing and maintaining technical application documentation

Qualifications for the role

  • 4th or 5th year student in STEM or equivalent
  • Good, practical level knowledge of C++ or Python
  • Practical experience in working with software development processes and tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Git, VSCode)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
