RESPONSIBILITIES
What makes you remarkable?
- Reporting to the Procurement Manager
- The accomplishment of all duties delegated by Procurement Manager
- The co‑ordination of Shipping activities on specific projects or proposals, both within the Shipping Group and externally with other Groups.
- The direction of Shipping activities on specific projects when these are being performed by a Task Force.
- The regular monitoring and reporting of progress of Shipping activities on the project(s) to which assigned.
- The competence and performance of all supervised personnel within manhour and cost budgets.
- Raise requisition and perform technical bid evaluation of bids from Shipping Agencies. Support Purchasing Group in the pre-order activities for appointment of Shipping Agencies.
- Prepare Project Specific Shipping Strategy/ Procedures and seek approval.
- Prepare Marking and Despatch Instructions and seek approval.
- Prepare and issue Shipping Documents Distribution matrix for the project and ensure all shipment documents are distributed in agreed frequency and as per the matrix elements
- In conjunction with the Project Procurement Manager, negotiate with Freight Conferences for project freight reductions and circulate the resultant rates to all interested parties. Maintain register of changes in freight rates and surcharges and circulate same as necessary.
- Preparing supplier performance evaluation and order close out
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or higher in field of Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years in Logistics and shipping, Supply Chain experience of working within Procurement preferably within the Oil & Gas Petrochemical plant
- Proven track record in managing complex shipping projects and coordinating large teams
- Knowledge of BOI regulations: Understanding the specific regulations and incentives provided by the BOI, including tax exemptions and import duty reductions
- Record of skills training appropriate for job specific role.
- Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation
- Maintains a strong network both within and outside of supply chain department
- Positively maintain relationships with suppliers and other disciplines
- Planning and organisational skills
- Enthusiastic proactive attitude
- Problem-solving abilities to resolve shipping issues and optimize processes
- Work as part of project execution team
- Identify efficiency, process and tool improvement opportunities and successful drive through change
- Fluent in English and Thai language skills (both spoken & written) to enable effective communications with Client, Freight Forwarder, Sub - Contractors & Vendors
- Be able to work as part of team as well as individually when required
