The HVAC Warranty Technician plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the quality of HVAC systems installed in newly constructed homes. This role involves addressing HVAC system issues under warranty, diagnosing and repairing malfunctions, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring that systems operate efficiently. The HVAC Warranty Technician works closely with homeowners, contractors, and the construction team to address concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring all work meets company standards and warranty specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Warranty Service and Repairs:
- Respond promptly to HVAC warranty service requests from homeowners or contractors.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs under warranty terms.
- Replace defective components and ensure systems are functioning to the required standards.
- Review warranty agreements to confirm coverage and ensure compliance with terms.
- Maintenance and Inspections:
- Perform preventive maintenance and system checks on HVAC units within the warranty period.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Ensure all systems meet efficiency and performance standards outlined in the warranty.
- Customer Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with homeowners to schedule service visits, explain issues, and advise on necessary repairs.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of repairs or maintenance actions to homeowners, answering any questions about HVAC systems.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism while ensuring customer satisfaction during warranty visits.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all service calls, repairs, and warranty claims.
- Update and track service and repair history for each HVAC system.
- Complete warranty claim forms and documentation for parts replacement or repairs, submitting to the warranty department or manufacturer as required.
- Collaboration with Construction and Project Teams:
- Work closely with construction project managers and contractors to address HVAC system concerns during the warranty phase.
- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure that HVAC systems were properly installed and meet warranty requirements.
- Parts Management and Inventory:
- Track and manage inventory for commonly needed warranty parts.
- Ensure parts are available and order replacement components as needed, ensuring timely repairs.
- Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
- Identify and resolve issues with HVAC systems quickly and efficiently to minimize homeowner disruption.
- Stay up-to-date on HVAC technology, common issues, and manufacturer recommendations to provide accurate solutions.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Adhere to company safety protocols when working on HVAC systems and interacting with homeowners.

Specific Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC service and repairs, with experience in new home construction or residential HVAC systems preferred.

- Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve HVAC issues efficiently.
- Organization: Ability to manage service calls, track warranty claims, and maintain detailed records.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, work in tight spaces, and perform tasks that require physical exertion. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and environments.
