IES Residential is seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented, organized individual who will utilize company resources to provide Residential project cost estimates to IES Residential's HVAC Divisions. This is a full-time position located at our office in Sugar Land, TX.

HVAC Estimators compile all costs including fees, profit and overhead before submittal of a proposal. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Review of plans, specifications, take-offs, and other design elements to identify scope of work to be bid and assess risk.
• Perform takeoffs of materials, equipment, and labor using estimating software
• Prepare project proposals
• Maintain, monitor, and track material costs and component templates in estimating software

Essential Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • High School Diploma required; Residential Construction experience (preferably in HVAC) is desired.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret project plans, engineering drawings, technical manuals and other trade related data.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence in a professional manner.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Division Managers and clients.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, and to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to conceptualize a project based on limited information.
• Ability to interpret instructions provided in various means.
• Maintain, monitor, and track material costs and component templates in estimating software
• Possess basic computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams). Experience with takeoff software such as Accubid Anywhere or similar program is a plus but not required.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of HVAC codes and compliance regulations.
