We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Loveland, CO. JFT offers some work from home flexibility, but candidates must be within commuting distance to the office. The anticipated closing date for this posting is 5/31/25 and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Job Function:

At JFT, the Project Manager strives to bring out the best in people and projects, while delivering results for our customers. Successful candidates will have knowledge and awareness of project management principles, documents, and plans while demonstrating sound leadership and analytical skills.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager, you will lead and oversee all aspects of daily project management, including engineering, tooling, production, operations, administration, and subcontracts. You will manage contract and contract change processes by working with customers to define scope changes and assess the impact on estimates and schedules. Your role will involve developing and executing project schedules and resource plans to ensure smooth implementation. Additionally, you will track project costs, provide cost forecasts to management, and authorize contracts, purchase orders, and change orders while reviewing supplier invoices for payment. You will also support sales initiatives through technical sales, proposal development, and cost estimation. Responsibilities also include preparing weekly reports, contributing to departmental projects as needed, and creating or updating various documents such as meeting materials and presentations.

Typical Working Conditions:

Primarily an office environment with periodic exposure to the fabrication/machine shop and outdoor testing areas. Depending on the project, there may be occasional travel to customer job sites. JFT has implemented a 9/80 work schedule, and the office is closed every other Friday.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work on a computer (standing or sitting) for most of the day and operate standard office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members, customers and vendors is essential. May occasionally lift and carry items, typically under 25lbs.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's of Science with at least 7 years of project management experience and 5 years of nuclear industry experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of commercial nuclear power plants including BWR and PWR reactor internals preferred.
  • Experience with complex engineering design and fabrication.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and sub-projects simultaneously with accuracy.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, both over the phone and in person with our customers and internal departments.
  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, problem-solving and administrative skills.
  • Able to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements including subcontracts, both fixed price and reimbursable.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management with the ability to report project status clearly and succinctly.
  • Skilled in leadership with the ability to guide the team towards successful outcomes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Project and Excel. Primavera P6 experience is a plus.
  • Travel is required for this position with up to 20% travel anticipated.
  • PMP certification or working towards achieving.
  • This position requires the incumbent to work with export-controlled items.
