We are a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Application Engineer. This position reports to the Director of Customer Service & Training and will work in Ashland, VA.

About the position

As a HVAC Application Engineer in the Applications team, you will provide technical assistance to in-house sales staff and application engineering services to outside customers when necessary. Tasks will consist of equipment selection and system design. This will include capacity requirement calculation, ducting, piping and pump sizing. This position will also support customers with equipment replacement recommendations.

Your main responsibilities

• Assist customers on the phone and e-mail with their questions on how the product is applied.
• Calculate room dimensions and heat loads and support with quotations.
• Provide system drawings
• Prepare complete air conditioning and refrigeration list price estimates for all product lines.
• Provide support information like Pump sizing curves, ducting charts etc.
• Chiller quotes and electrical specifications for custom chiller units.
• Assist in standardizing procedures regarding quoting of Dometic air conditioning (ie grille sizes, ducting etc) with the direction of Engineering Departments.
• Provide Service School support.
• Provide field support when necessary.

A suitable background would be a solid experience within xxx and xxx **** - as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

• Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equlvalent
• 5-10 Years of experience
• CAD experience, preferably Draft Sight, AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Preference to have EPA 608 certification
• Experience with HVAC design
• Ideal experience with Marine HVAC
