Do you have experience in the Oil & Gas sector and a strong track record in financial control? We are looking for a talented Cost Controller to join our team in Mexico City!

Function description

As a Cost Controller, you will oversee all financial aspects of our projects, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory reporting, and managing joint venture accounting.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing, controlling, and providing insights on operational targets and KPIs.
• Supervising and maintaining quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Monitoring local processes, policies, and controls to strengthen internal governance.
• Developing proposals to optimize economic resources.
• Executing cost controls, preparing monthly cost estimates, and updating SAP structures promptly and accurately.
• Coordinating budget preparation, forecasting, and variance tracking.
• Coordinating joint venture audits.

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's in Finance is a plus).
• Over five years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector within the financial area.
• Background as a Project Controller, Operations Controller, or Business Analyst.
• Intermediate English proficiency (B2).
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, and Oil & Gas Accounting standards (IFRS / local NIIF).
• Strong analytical skills and decision-making ability.
