Duties:
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform nuclear medicine imaging studies.
- Evaluate imaging results for technical accuracy and quality before submission for interpretation.
- Ensure proper operation and calibration of nuclear medicine equipment.
- Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure risks.
- Maintain inventory of radioactive materials and monitor proper storage conditions.
- Support physicians during therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
- Provide patient education regarding imaging procedures and potential outcomes.
Skills Required:
- In-depth knowledge of radiation physics and imaging techniques.
- Excellent organizational and patient care skills.
Education:
- NYS Radiologic Technologist license and ARRT certification required.
- Nuclear Technology certification and BLS mandatory.
Pay Range:
- Weekly: $1,450 - $1,800
- Monthly: $5,800 - $7,200
