Job Summary:
Assists in the teaching and facilitiating of HVAC labs. Supports the instructors and HVAC program coordinator in maintaining the HAC labs. The assistant will help instructors prepare the instructional area by setting up necessary equipment and may assist the instructor in the classroom or lab environment.

Job Summary:

Minimum Required Education:
- Associates Degree in HVAC or equivalent
Minimum Required Experience:
- Specialized training in HVAC and/or relevant certifications.
- Three years of recent and successful work experience in the field or closely related field
Required Abilities:
- Ability to be detail-oriented.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to operate a personal computer and other standard computing equipment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to think critically and apply appropriate problem-solving skills.
- Ability to articulate and support the values and Code of Conduct of Hill College. Ability to interpret and abide by the policies and procedures of Hill College.
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task with minimal supervision. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for assisting with the preparation of the lab, including setup of equipment, organization of supplies, maintenance of equipment, lab supervision and notifying faculty of needed supplies.
- Responsible for assistance with laboratory instruction within various HVAC courses each semester.
Other Information:
- Evening hours may be required depending upon instructional schedule.

Physical Requirements:
- Medium work; Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Active physical condition requiring walking, bending, reaching, climbing, stooping, pulling, pushing, standing, and other physical exertion. Standing for long periods of time.
