The Bakken trend is a sequence of liquids-rich sand and shale layers in the Williston Basin, which stretches across western North Dakota and into Canada. The company's position in the Bakken development area is comprised of approximately 562,000 net unconventional acres, which include 382,000 net mineral acres and 180,000 net leasehold acres. The company focuses on unconventional tight-oil play development and production in the most prolific portion of the basin.
During 2023, net production averaged 106 MBOED. There were 37 operated wells brought online during 2023, bringing the total to more than 850 operated wells online at year-end.

Position Overview
Description
If you are chosen as the Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Technician, you will be responsible for surveying a variety of equipment using Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) technology throughout the Bakken Basin. Your main objective will be to identify, address, and resolve issues related to fugitive emissions. In addition to conducting ground and aerial surveys, you will be tasked with inputting survey videos, submitting repair reports, and collaborating with operations. This collaboration will involve working closely with vendors, contractors, regulatory support, and operations field staff both within and outside the company.

Description

Your main objective will be to identify, address, and resolve issues related to fugitive emissions. In addition to conducting ground and aerial surveys, you will be tasked with inputting survey videos, submitting repair reports, and collaborating with operations. This collaboration will involve working closely with vendors, contractors, regulatory support, and operations field staff both within and outside the company.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Execute emissions corrective maintenance programs, including defect elimination processes
- Collaborate with key support groups and customers to ensure alignment with the Asset & Operating Integrity (A&OI) program and Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements
- Maintain a close link to the planning and scheduling function, ensuring strict compliance with various work schedules
- Participate in LDAR maintenance and reliability efforts within the asset to improve equipment reliability
- Ensure that all work activities are performed according to established procedures, guidelines, and schedules
- Conduct corrective and preventative maintenance for Enardo valves, thief hatches, gas regulators, etc.
- Operate fugitive emission detecting equipment, including handheld OGI cameras and multiple UAV platforms
- Conduct regulatory inspections of facilities and record data into software programs
- Operate a company-provided vehicle to perform job duties safely
- Identify and preserve critical and confidential information
- Work under a supplied air system, must be able to complete, pass and be part of the ConocoPhillips respiratory program
Basic/Required:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Current/valid driver's license
- Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot License
- Optical Gas Imaging Certification
- 1 or more years of direct experience and responsibilities with FLIR, OGI and LDAR repairs/processes
- 1 or more years of direct experience and responsibilities with UAV usage and data storage collection and processing of 2D/3D imaging
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to travel 10% of the time on a yearly basis
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work occasional overtime and on weekends
Preferred:
- 3 or more years of direct experience and responsibilities with FLIR, OGI and LDAR repairs/processes
- 3 or more years of experience with regulatory fugitive emission inspection and tracking programs
- 100+ hours of UAV flight time with experience operating multiple types of UAV platforms
- Intermediate proficiency with various computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite, S4Hana, Access, Spotfire, Drone Deploy, and LiDAR applications
- Effective trainer and ability to instruct and mentor others on processes and procedures
- Ability to create and manipulate complex spreadsheets
- Ability to identify and understand the operations of oilfield equipment
- Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what is right
- Delivers positive results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
- Build effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
