This Position reports to:
Business Manager - Operations
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a local commercial and operations team. In close collaboration with the Manager Sales Automotive, you will drive the sales performance of the Solution Center in Paint Applications in Germany, specifying and implementing effective sales and business-development initiatives. In line with the Global Solution Center Strategy, you will create an effective operations strategy and cost-efficient execution setup. You will lead and coordinate the local team to meet ambitious targets, drive technology, and exceed customer expectations.

This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Friedberg.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Managing commercial and operational success, ensuring business growth, market share expansion, and achievement of performance objectives.
- Developing and executing business strategies, go-to-market models, and customer-focused operations while ensuring financial and non-financial targets.
- Leading the German paint team, fostering collaboration with European and global teams, and identifying new business opportunities in close cooperation with Sales, including projects related to robotic paint and sealing applications.
- Coordinating internal teams across proposal management, process engineering, sealing application, and quality standards while ensuring seamless project execution.
- Overseeing contract negotiations, risk management, and operational efficiencies to ensure smooth project execution and strong customer relationships.
- Driving best practices, training, and organizational development to strengthen the team and optimize project outcomes.
Qualifications for the role
- Extensive experience in automotive paint systems, robotic sealing applications, and system integration.
- Strong expertise in painting and sealing technologies, business development, and international networking.
- Proven ability to manage technical teams across sales, proposal engineering, and process development.
- Experience in leading cross-cultural teams and collaborating with stakeholders from China, Italy, and multiple European markets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and risk management skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering is appreciated.
- Fluent in English, additional languages (French, Spanish, etc.) are beneficial.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
