THE POSITION
Reporting to the Center of Excellence (COE) of Metals & Plastics, the Director of Strategic Sourcing is responsible for creating value by communicating the latest trends/technical analysis, macro & micro trends, hedging recommendations and execution in commodities (plastics). The spend managed is approximately $270 M, managing a team of 6-7, including plastics, resins, rubber and assemblies. This role has very high visibility within the organization to guide the various business as this data will provide critical information to help guide strategic decision making short and long term by utilizing various market intelligence sources, interact/consult global leading economists and advisors to sustain with accurate and updated market data models. The plastics leader will drive the global and regional strategies and work closely with the different businesses to get buy in and execute the plans.
In addition, this person will also support the Center of Excellence (COE) with some key KPI ownership and support to drive but not limited to activities like HGR (Hight growth region) moves, productivity, value engineering, supplier rationalizations, and other areas to support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop/Grow an already existing supply base by leveraging best-in-class strategic fits to drive total cost of ownership to enable a competitive advantage.
- Own, communicate and drive in alignment with the SBG the category strategies
- Drive supplier Resilience with assurance of price and supply
- Lead KPI plan and develop a strong Operating system to execute
- Support team with Inflation / deflation journey with analytics and gap closures to help drive productivity.
- Support during AOP build ups to standardize key commodity frameworks that are sustainable and easy to update and drive the Market model
- Support US and EMEA time zones
- Ensure global policy compliance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 8 years of work experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or supply chain function.
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing procurement strategies
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
- Knowledge of sourcing processes and tools, such as SAP and e-sourcing platforms
- International experience with exposure to high-growth regions
- Cross-functional experience in engineering/technology, operations, sales/marketing
PREFERRED
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- Prefer 2+ years work experience in plastics, not a requirement.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization
- Bring a growth mindset, Sence of urgency and creative attitude to change the status Quo.
- Professional certifications in procurement, supply chain, or contract management
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies
- Strong knowledge of the semiconductor industry
- Ability to lead change and build high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
